Terms of Service

01The agreement

These Terms form a binding agreement between you ("Customer") and Plotted ("we," "us," "our") governing your access to and use of the Plotted REST API, dashboard, and related services at plotted.to (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, generating an API key, or making an API call, you agree to these Terms.

02The service

Plotted provides a REST API and dashboard for accessing standardized U.S. property and homeowner data, including owner names, contact information where available, dwelling attributes, valuation, and spatial queries. We aggregate this data from public records and licensed third-party sources.

Coverage, freshness, and field availability vary by jurisdiction. We make no guarantee that any specific record will be present, current, or complete.

03Your account & API key

You are responsible for safeguarding your API key. We will treat any request authenticated with your key as authorized by you. If you suspect compromise, rotate the key from your dashboard immediately. We log every API call with its source IP and key fingerprint.

• One account per legal entity unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• You must be 18+ and authorized to bind your organization.
• Sharing or resale of API keys is prohibited without our written consent.

04Acceptable use

You may use the Service for lawful business purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service to harass, stalk, or threaten any individual
• Resell the underlying data in raw form, or use it to populate a competing property database
• Use contact data for purposes prohibited by the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, GLBA, FCRA, or any applicable state privacy law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise circumvent rate limits or pricing tiers
• Use the data to make eligibility decisions covered by the FCRA (Plotted is not a consumer reporting agency)

05Billing & credits

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Credit packs are one-time purchases that supplement your subscription allowance. Subscription credits reset at each billing cycle and do not roll over. Pack credits never expire.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled. Cancel anytime in your dashboard; your access continues through the end of the paid period.
• Prorated refunds are available within 14 days of first subscription payment. Pack purchases are non-refundable.
• We may suspend access for past-due invoices after 10 days' notice.

06Data rights & license

The Plotted dataset is licensed to you, not sold. While your subscription is active and in good standing, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use API responses within your business. You retain ownership of any derivative works (e.g., enriched lead lists you create internally). On termination, you must cease querying the API; you may retain previously-downloaded records for your own internal records.

07Warranties & disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty that data is accurate, complete, or current. Property records change frequently, and county source systems vary in quality. Do not use Plotted as the sole basis for legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

08Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, even if advised of the possibility.

09Termination

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach (including violation of Section 4), unpaid invoices, or if required by law. We will use reasonable effort to give notice before termination.

10Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11Contact & governing law

Questions? hello@plotted.to. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Collier County, Florida.
